We have had this for years in the US in parts of texas. None of that has happened.
The thing that has happened is those districts haven't had a school shooting.

Interesting... Maybe it works by intimidation.

But look the point that society have reached. Teacher having to carry guns to protect against students.

Why this wasn't needed 60 years ago?
Why school shooting wasn't a issue 60 years ago?

My WAG is that technology has influenced culture. 60 years ago, when you got bullied at school you went home at the end of the day and could relax a bit. Nowadays, you go home and the bullying continues on the internet. Children are already narcissistic, and social media allows the narcissism to grow to new levels.

Also, most kids weren't in single parent families 60 years ago. Raising a child is crazy difficult with 2 parents; I can only imagine how difficult it is as a single parent.

Human nature it's a disgrace... An animal...
Few people are better than this.

Heavy punishment works at first.
But look islamic muslims (not the best ones) when arrive on Europe, where europeen laws do not kill rapists and do not cut hands of thiefs. What they start to do? Many start to rape and to steal.

It's different from people raised with values for true consciousness and reflection.

Cutting hands of thieves in Muslim countries is about as common as throwing stones at convicts by people without sins in predominantly Christian countries.

Let's be moderate, let's be respectful. Just like most Muslim people I know are.

The Utrecht tram shooter was a moron, literally. He should not have been released after earlier convictions, not because of the severity of those, but because he was unable to contain himself and that was a known fact...
He did not know any of the people he shot in the tram.

Yet this was a proper terrorist attack. The real terrorist is the one who gave the moron a gun. (they arrested someone yesterday without any other details than that it is a 40 year old male. But that probably was the provider).

For confirmation go to people just like you.
For education go to people unlike yourself.

There are more radical and more moderate islamic countries. The more radical ones... well... I saw some videos of people with a bag of cut-off hands, in a kind of celebration.
And remamber that the radical punishment of a few scares a much larger number of criminals.

Please don't raise the "let's be respectfull". I can talk about crazy sh...head" christian, scr....w-up americans, savage brazilians, but not about muslism who follows islan???
Indeed I was clear I was refering to not the best muslims. I didn't said in any moment that all ore the vast majority was like that.

By the way, on Brazil I feel that if you don't share the typical sins of society and stay away from "sinners", they may tends to stone you, not with real stones, but other ways.

I think it's pretty clear you hold all of humanity in low regard.

That said, we're the only species that contemplates moral values, so in that regard we're unique from other animals, even if we share animal impulses. We do have the ability to resist temptations and to adhere to a code of ethics.

Best line in that Simpsons episode is "there's a 5 day waiting period". "Aww 5 days, but I'm angry now!"

My friend was able to skip the 5 day waiting period, presumably because he's active military. He jokingly told the salesperson that he was angry now and didn't want to wait 5 days.
