Smyth utes

GM has abandoned the El Camino, Ford has left the Ranchero, even Holden in Australia has stopped production of their ute. We love car based trucks here at Smyth Performance and believe that Smyth truck projects are an easy way to enjoy the astounding performance of cars with the utility of a pick-up. Smyth all aluminum bolt together bed panels provide a structural rust free base for an easy light duty hot rod pick up build of your VW, Subaru, Audi or Dodge Charger.

Considering that Suzuki had once made the U.S.-spec Samurai a 2-seater in order to comply with local crash regulations, it gets me wondering why Volkswagen doesn't even bother trying to develop some version of the Saveiro to export there. Fiat could do the same with the Strada, already available in Mexico as part of the Ram range.

Volkswagen ID.4 Crossover ( Projeção KDesign)
The new domestic platform will be a four-door crossover. They could ute-ilize that.

This is useful to someone with an original Beetle, and possibly other vehicles, and a plasma cutter and sheet metal brake. It's all 18th inch aluminum with fiberglass pontoon fenders.

There will be a double-cab ute based on that platform and slotted between the Saveiro and the Amarok, just not sure if that will be made in Brazil or Argentina

Nice. I dig the design especially the rear-end.

But the design of the wheels makes it look like someone curbed them, hard.
