I think so.

Fox compiled a list of release criteria. Generally, people at the tail end of their sentences for low end crimes are getting out.

If it's not a coincidence, it's at least a high positive correlation.

New York is a 'special case' of course, but only 10% of those released from Riker's Island have been rearrested. ....repeatedly.

breitbart.com: Gov. Cuomo’s New York: 250 Inmates Freed from Prison Rearrested 450 Times

Their catch-and-release program is why 250 were soon arrested 450 times.

So is it 450 total arrests (below typical rates) or is it 112500 arrests? If it's 450, somebody is attempting to manipulate people with shocking sounding statistics. And then there is the issue of how many catch and release total statistics the 450 belongs to. The artical said 2500 arrests so 90% aren't re-arrested which is typical data also.

I don't know what stats we're talking about. What I do know is that there's something like a 70% recidivism rate of incarceration. It would probably be higher if more criminal activity were caught. In my experience, probably somewhere around 70% of people in prison should just never leave because they will never behave pro-socially enough to integrate with society.

Don't do illegal drugs or legal drugs illegally.
Don't resist arrest. That is not just my interpretation of common sense, the NAACP says so.

That same page says: "Don’t: Run away, or bad-mouth an officer."
"Don’t: Empty your pockets voluntarily, or reach towards your waistband as the officer approaches."
"Do not [...] reach for any items in your clothing or car without
specific instructions from the police."

Everybody has opinions about what happened when Jeronimo Yanez pulled over Philando Castile. The other officer on the scene, Joseph Kauser, said that Yanez did not do what he would have and he never saw Castile reach for a gun, but he trusted his partner.

All that I can say for sure is that I wish they had chest cams.

Mom regularly complains about Philip Brailsford shooting Daniel Shaver in the hotel. Shaver had shown off a pellet gun, people called the cops, Brailsford told Shaver to get down, but he would be shot if he put his hands down.

Then he told Shaver to crawl towards him.

I do not watch people die if I can help it. I certainly do not watch people murder each other, although I have probably watched nine minutes of footage of Chauvin kneeling on Floyd's neck by now just because we watch the news everyday, sometimes noon, in the evening, and again at night, even though it doesn't change much, and they often show the same clips.

I did not watch the video, but I read that as Shaver crawled towards Brailsford Shaver reached for his waistband. He would have performed a similar movement to pull out a gun, but he didn't have one, so he was likely adjusting his shorts.

Floyd made some mistakes, but none of them warranted being murdered. What explanation is there for Chauvin continuing to kneel on Floyd's neck for three minutes after he stopped moving, after another cop couldn't find a pulse, except to make sure that he was dead.

We do not know exactly what Castille did immediately before being shot, but it seems unlikely that he planned on pulling his gun from his pocket while being belted into the driver's seat, chambering a round, selecting fire, and shooting the officer that had not been an immediate threat.

It sounds like Yanez and Brailsford should have shouted "Stop!" and then given step-by-step directions. It sounds like if an officer starts to escalate things you should freeze and wait for further instructions, but I do not think that we can expect people to think of that.

I have long said that if someone tries to choke me [if I cannot stop them], I will play dead. It may not work, dying didn't get Chauvin off of Floyd, and I cannot expect someone to think of playing dead, either.

Can you be arrested for DUI after the fact?

Google says yes.

What is proper police procedure for a suspect running away with your weapon?

Google does not provide an immediate answer for that one.

Don't riot, loot, or burn anything, regardless of how angry you feel.

1. If I were a cop, I'd not shoot someone unless I could see a weapon is being drawn on my or someone else. Reaching around where weapons could be isn't sufficient for me, even if I've told them not to. I'd rather put myself at a slight disadvantage by waiting for more evidence than to shoot someone who is not intending harm, or isn't sufficiently dangerous.

2. A person telling me they are armed, or otherwise openly carrying is less of a threat in my mind than someone whose carry status is undetermined. People intent on killing you don't calmly notify they are carrying.

3. How many scared kids who are trying as best they can to follow yelled orders for 10 minutes at gunpoint decide "screw it, let's see if I can win this gun battle with a pistol stashed in my shorts"? The whole thing should have started with "How is your evening going? We've got a report of a firearm being spotted in your possession. Let me pat you down before we talk about this".

4. The dual tragedies of Floyd/Chauvin have been multiplied an incalculable amount by opportunistic evildoers looking to push their political agendas. Many useful idiots get caught up in the process. It's human nature for most to attempt to pack in as tightly as possible with the herd as a self-preservation method than to look ahead to see if the herd is headed for a cliff. That's what explains:

The media has/have ahold of you attention and they're not letting go. If they did you might wonder how the Las Vegas false flag or the Waco Biker Massacre turned out. Or about that missile that was headed toward Hawai'i and brought North Korea to the table.

There are fourteen states with democrat governors, a majority in the state senate, and a majority in the state house.

Why aren't they defunding the police?

Because they are not crazy?

Alek Skarlatos, the Army National Guard veteran who heroically stopped a terrorist from hijacking a train(France, 2015), is now running to flip a key district in Oregon that could help deliver the House to Republicans.

Skarlatos is running for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Oregon’s 4th district — a district that Hillary Clinton won by only a tenth of a percent over President Trump.

He is running to dislodge far-left incumbent Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-OR), who has held that seat for 33 years and is a backer of defunding the police and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) Green New Deal.
