Raw Bio gas will eat aluminum pistons all the way through till you have 0 compression.

It has to be burned in a boiler or gas turbine for maximum machine life.

But even after 10 years of 25% bio gas a boiler will need a retube job. To do a full retube on a 1,200hp boiler would cost about $100,000.

Sure it's not about "saving the world". You know, the methane amount on that raw biogas has a longer half-life when released wide-open in the atmosphere, while the CO² resulting of its combustion can also be absorbed by vegetables and effectively close the carbon cycle. Sometimes it seems like bureaucrats need to create a false problem in order to use that as an excuse to sell false solutions, which by the way are usually more expensive than avoiding the problem at once.
