I am in doubt about what to do with my fuel log.
The simplest thing is to just keep logging the numbers the pump provides; once I get confirmation that the pump is indeed off, I'll correct them to reasonable values based on my MID's reading, where they correspond with other fills.

I would definitely still be using that pump lol.

However, I have a feeling I would be so ecstatic for the results, I wouldn't realize the true issue.

Yes, good job!

As for annoying oil leak - if you didn't recently change the distributor o-ring where it slips over the cam shaft, that could be the source of your leak. I diagnosed mine by looking at the top surface of the tranny which sits below the distributor. Of course from there it runs downward and ends up on the oil pan, leading you to suspect the oil pan gasket.

If you do see oil slime on top of the transmission housing, pull off the dizzy and put in a new 0-ring. Get it from a Honda dealer for just a few dollars. The parts stores I tried all wanted to see the ring so they could match the dimensions - they could not look up a part number for it. Honda of course knew exactly what I needed.

There, I corrected my fuel log for the underreading pump gauge.
An additional 3 and 5 liters on the first and second time I used that pump bring the numbers back to what would be normal for my driving and MID reading (which seems to be less off on ethanol blends than on pure, so I stay close to the MID reading for this)

As a result I am no longer in the Top Ten Hybrids All list beaten by two volt-lurking Prii. Now I really want a PHEV kit!

Filled again.

65.15 mpg

2nd best both in miles and mpg. Not bad considering:
1) school is back so I'm on morning delivery duty;
2) an urgent trip to the hospital and then a return with an extra (small) person on board. MPG was bad for that trip.

Wow, congrats! especially with number 2!

Could have coined a record fill today.
Knowing the problem with the fuel pump gauge, I added some liters again to my log. After all, the MID did show me the truth.

Now spoke to the only guy present at the station. He will call the head office tomorrow and keep me informed. We'll see.

Congrats!! I just had a son in July. Get ready for your life to change... Especially if this is your first!

On a seprate note, I had my first trip over 60mpg (according to the scangauge II) to celebrate. This tank I'm averaging close to 54mpg which if I can sustain it for the trip home tonight it'll be my best yet to date!
