Think this will improve fuel efficiency?
I figured I’d share the 100+ hypermiling tips. Perhaps it may contribute to greater fuel efficiency, I consider this a key step in the solution to global warming.

Save fuel = export more finished gasoline.

Yeah it don't stay in the ground.
It's like when Mr magoo canceled the key stone pile line, his first day in office the oil will continue to go to the west coast by much more dirtier, spill prone, inefficient rail compared to sending it to TX and LA by pipe line.

Gasoline is a global commodity so enough gasoline will be refined to meet global demand. However, if the USA uses less gasoline there will be less global demand and less total gasoline consumption.
The EIA (Energy Information Agency) believes US gasoline consumption peaked in 2018 and will decline from here as our vehicles become more energy efficient.
However, the USA has gone from an energy importer to an exporter. We export Oil, gasoline and natural gas for the world market today.

Do we actually export gasoline? I thought it was unrefined base oil, mostly.

I believe that, even with Mexico, PEMEX ships crude oil to Houston by pipeline, where it's refined into finished products, then piped back. Also true for Cuba until our puppet was kicked out.
There are also certain fractions our refineries aren't set up to refine ( and there's been no new refinery construction in the USA for a long time now ), which are exported, while we import certain foreign products. At the end of the day, the balance of trade favors our economy.
