Find where it's spliced in to the backup light....
Find where it's spliced in to the backup light. Cut it there. Heat shrink it, if possible. Electrical tape it off it not.
You could leave an inch or so of stub and clip the heat shrink over that....

Disconnect that wire and put electrical tape over...
Disconnect that wire and put electrical tape over the connector to keep it from grounding to the frame.
