0-100KPH in one second?

Students from ETH Zurich and Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts have broken the previous world record for acceleration with their hand-built electric racing car, mythen. The vehicle accelerated from zero to 100 km/h in 0.956 seconds over a distance of 12.3 metres.
What it takes: four hub motors and a sucker plate.

The G-calculator says this is nearly 3 G of acceleration. Sounds fun.

Title should read km/h. :(

I'd read the title as 10-100 miles per hour and thought it would feel like a rocket sled.

That would be closer to 5 G.

I don't know the formula to work this out, but I wonder, at a constant 5 G acceleration, how long of a track (railgun) would be required to send something orbital?

I recall something suggesting the track might span several states.

What I want is a track and bike with sufficient gearing on the moon to pedal to a speed that allows for nearly zero G (2,200 MPH).

Not asking for much. :)
