There aren’t any near me that run at anywhere near that price... for $800 I could deal with replacing the IMA, but I don’t wanna change the HG after paying $1200 for the car... the halfway nice ones are listed close to $3k and I couldn’t sell my Saturn for anywhere near that, sooo...

This one's listed for $2200. Hybrid battery "needs reconditioning" - either grid charger or just bypass the IMA. The Insight I bought was listed for $2300 originally and has 60K more miles, and I ended up getting it for $1500. You could probably talk the seller down a bit. And it's not that far of a drive for an Insight. ;)

You should see the prices for Insights in the EU ...
Yet they retain their low EURO x emissions status regardless of their low consumption - meaning the day is coming that you won't be allowed to drive them anymore wherever you want.


Even a non-runner with a dead battery is listed for 4K € !
One that looks & runs fine: 15 K €

I'll pass - I can get a brand new up! on CNG for that kind of money, with the latest emissions standards.
