Most of what that article calls ethanol doesn't come from consumable food, btw. I think he's a little optimistic, but I hope I'm wrong.

Cellulosic ethanol can come from many forms of organic matter. They really are making some amazing claims about it. I heard that there is a plant being built somewhere in the southern US (I think) that is going to be using this process. Very hopeful thinking, and I'd like to see it come true.

Very cool to FINALLY have one of these plants open up. Its been talked about for so many years. It would be very interesting to see how actual production cellulosic ethanol compares to corn ethanol production. I'm sure that comparison isn't too far away.
