Well for compairson my leaf at 94mph gets around around 2 miles per kwh.
Which is equal to somewhere around 50 to 60 mpg.
So I wouldn't say that it's impossible if "nothing is off the table" as far as aero mods.

Also at .23 Cd aren't some prius cars already close to that?
To get .13 Cd doesn't the car start looking more like a air craft than a car?

Yeah,it would look more like a fuselage. The 'template' is Cd 0.121.

aerostealth- You meant to say 160 KPH, not MPH.

I love these kinds of tests.

I calculated something similar for the Chevy Bolt using Speed vs Range graphs, and assuming things like an average charge rate of 40 kW, which is about the fastest it can charge. My calculations showed the fastest way to arrive at your destination on a long trip is to drive at 75 MPH. Above that, and you spend more time charging than the time saved by traveling faster.

A 65 MPH average trip speed including charging time is very respectable. If only we could travel at those speeds here, the Tesla would be a great long distance vehicle. As it is, I'd probably still take an ICE for a road trip.

I don't want to insult anyone but there just is no comparison between a P-100 D and a Nissan Leaf. Watch the video and look at the numbers it is all there. If you read our article the 0.13 body form boat tail we are talking about is deployable.

His chart shows at 93mph the p100 gets almost 80mpg, I get 60.
Not bad for a heavy hatch back that's "not that aerodynamic".

Looks like the cruse control works up to the same speed on both cars.

The mod s is stupid efficient at high speeds, it's already at about 130mpg at 93mph.

So 100 mpg at 100 mph is confirmed.

If I ever get a chance to buy this car (Ford sold it to a private collector a few years ago), I will gladly trade my firstborn child to get it.

Here is our video blog on YouTube showing the possibility of getting 100 mpg e with a Tesla Model 3 at 100 mph. The nice thing about is the potential to improve the range fro 310 miles to over 400 miles at normal highway speeds.

Imagine what it could do if they had kept the weight, power & tyre size down to more reasonable numbers ...

The mods-video is not available I'm afraid
