Fascinating. Never heard of these before... but now... drool...

It looks cool, but I'm not sure to which extent I would prefer this over the stock design which seems to have at least better headroom in the rear seat area.

Stock 1952 Beetles are a dime a dozen. This is a Baby Steyr body-swapped onto a Kubelwagen chassis.

The Jim Dandy roof rack is a bolt-on but something similar could use a similar permanent attachment.
