Stranger In A Strange Land

Ehllo everybody, hows it going?

I more or less found this web site by accident really. I had just joined the Ford Aspire forum when i saw a link in another members signature that lead me to this place.

I thought it was pretty interesting, but at the time i was getting roughly 30-32MPG and i was content with my cars performance.

Well, ever since I had performed an engine swap on my car, it has been getting right around 25-30MPG. Quite a bit little less then what i had been getting beforehand, but it really started bothering me especially with how gas prices are.

I heard about the success that everybody was having here so i decided to take a second look. Since then i found some modifications that i would be willing to take a shot at and i even have some questions about other possible mods.

I'm very excited about what i could achieve for my car. I"m more or less shooting for somewhere between 40-50MPG. I'm sure that i can make it happen, its just going to take some time and effort.

Welcome to the site. 40-50 mpg sounds like a good goal for that car. Good luck!

+1

40 MPG is a very conservative goal for your car.

what engine did you swap into the aspire, b6t? in the end, it really don't mean what engine you have in that car, it's light and if you hypermille you will get at least 40mpg
