I have a used Honda D15Z1 Vtec-E motor for sale. I purchased this with the idea of rebuilding it as I thought a high mpg Civic project would be pretty cool. I've changed my mind on that project since my pickup truck needs some attention.

This was pulled from a 1992 Honda Civic VX with some radiator support and undercarriage damage. I'm thinking the car maybe went into a ditch or hit a curb. There was a piece cracked off from the transmission bellhousing.

I ran the carfax and I believe this engine has either 183,000 or 283,000 miles. There is a mileage discrepancy in the vehicle carfax report, so that is why the ballpark mileage is hard to determine.

I have no idea if this engine is good enough to use as is. My intent was to rebuild it and I would recommend the same to an interested buyer.

The crankshaft spins and there is no excessive in and out play on the crankshaft. There is no heavy sludge visible.
