1997 Honda Civic HX all stock 142k
 

The car is a Civic HX meaning it's the high efficiency model with the vtec-e motor. Not a lot of these out there and even less with the 5-speed which is more desired because the auto has issues. Popular with eco-modders and commuters.
Factory rating on these is 31 city/39 highway

I picked up the car from Ohio and fixed almost all the small issues so far. I plan on starting the rust repair and body work next but have just been too busy with work and a puppy.

5-speed manual - clutch doesn't slip
Power windows/locks/mirros
All stock besides stereo/speakers - no CEL
Full synthetic oil change with K&N filter
PO said Cap, plugs and wires were done, haven't checked plugs but wires and cap look newer.

Interior is in good shape, not major damage to the seats but could use a good detail currently.

Center console was destroyed when I got it, bought a good condition replacement and installed a kenwood stereo and dash kit.

Car had no rear speakers and fronts were shot, replaced all 4 speakers Pioneer 6.5" up front, Sony 6x9s in the rear deck, wired for a system

There was a check engine light for front O2 sensor which is a 5-wire wideband and cost upwards of $3-400, replaced that and no check engine light. Also replaced the throttle position sensor.

The Good:
Engine runs strong, low miles for the yr
Transmission is great, no grinds and has new shifter bushing
Tires are close to new
Newer pads up front
Recent tune up and oil change
Electric windows/locks/mirrors all work
Heat works great
AC could use a recharge
Great condition interior
I average 33-34mpg with mostly city driving - keeps improving with the maintenance I've done

The not so good:
Has two rust spots, 1 on the hood and 1 on the passenger rear fender. Drivers rear fender is starting to rust.
There's quite a few dings and small dents from the car driven.
Headlights are foggy

With the mileage and model it is, I'm asking $3200 obo cash or trade. Open to trades, must be a manual car though and would like something turbo
