It's time to kill my car because it doesn't make sense for me to continue fixing it.

I'm in northwest indiana, but assuming the car is still driveable in 2 weeks, I could even deliver it to you or meet you somewhere within about 100 miles.

The car is seriously in pretty decent shape for its age and mileage, it's just the damn transmission.

142k miles with new tires (less than 1k miles. Just put them on 2 weeks ago and had it aligned. $425)
Front Brakes still have about half left.
Muffler is close to going out, but it's stock.
No A/C
Timing belt was fixed about 10k ago.
I've ran synthetic oil since I've owned it at 106k.
Just cleaned up the body over the summer(rear wheel wheel was a bit soft and I polished the lamps) and almost tinted the windows perfect.
Interior is pretty much perfectly clean, or at least will be

Drives and starts great. Pretty smooth idle still.

But the real downer. The auto trans is going to die very soon. It's leaking fluid on top and slips between gears constantly.

Would be a super cheap winter beater to someone if they could drop a new trans in it cheaply.
