2005 Honda Insight 5sp NEW IMA BATTERY

$5900/160k miles/Rebuilt trans/new IMA battery/New 12V Battery/New EGR/New Motor Mounts

This car has not let me down once over the last 4 years/100k miles and is ready to go another 200k of uninterrupted service. I know there are cheaper insights available and this is expensive but there's a reason for it, it will be hard to find one of comparable quality with a Brand New IMA Battery with 50 miles on it with extensive service and care completed.

To put it lightly I love this car probably too much sometimes. Garage kept for the last 4 years and well protected from the sun with dash mat and sunshades whenever it was parked in the sun. I personally have completed all of the maintenance for the last 80k miles in strict following of the official honda service manual, which I will also pass on to you on a USB stick or email along with all my notes and bookmarks for service. I follow this down to the torque specs of the drain bolts and even buy exclusively Honda fluids, Greases and Sealants. I am not a certified Honda mechanic, but I am a Professional Mechanical Engineer that has extensive experience working on, racing, modifying, repairing vehicles for the last 15 years. If anything I pay much more attention and care more about the quality of a repair than any random dealership or shop. This car has been a necessity for my life over the last 4 years and it was not an option to have it fail, hence the extensive care.

Was planning on running this thing into 400k miles but with my new job I will no longer need a car, I hope this can move on to a good home and hypermile on for many more 100s of 1000s of miles.

History (10/10):
Majority of records and Carfax available, CLEAN TITLE
Brakes (7/10): Replaced 50k miles ago, being that I use regen extensively they are rarely used.
Tires (6/10): 90k mile warranty, these have about 50k miles on them and plenty of life left
Transmission (9/10): Full rebuild at 110k, clutch still has lots of life left
Engine (9/10): Engine is in terrific shape, clean valvetrain, great compression, no leaks, no rattles, clean engine bay
Interior (7/10): New Floor mats, a few replaced trim pieces, driver seat shows some wear, a few interior trim pieces has noticeable scratches
Exterior (7/10): Rear bumper has been repainted, all exterior rubber trim has been replaced at 100k, only a few noticeable scratches here and
there, corner of windshield has a crack that is not spreading for the last 10k miles, overall for a 13yr old commuter car with 160k miles it will
be hard to find a cleaner comparable. Front Clips has chips from the freeway as expected, easy $250 to paint brand new.

Modifications and Parts: $1800
- High end Suntech CXP Tint, the tint on this does an amazing job of blocking heat, UV, and infrared.
o 18% on Rear Windows
o 35% on Front Windows
o 70% on Windshield + 5% Visor Strip
- Momo Shift knob, real leather ($80)
- S2000 Leather wrapped steering Wheel
- Pioneer Head Unit, handsfree/bluetooth
- Upgraded Door Speakers
- 6.5" Sub Woofers behind seat
- Badges Removed (I have new front and rear badges available if you want)
- Fumoto Oil Drain Valve (Easy to drain Oil)
- Full Size Spare: This actually fits in the rear tire well, mounted to a full size wheel
- Removed Rear Windshield wiper
- Brake Flasher: Small controller that can flash or pulse the 3rd brake light similar to a motorcycle headlight. This helps a ton if you sit in traffic all day. I can remove this or change it back to no flash if you prefer.

Parts/Services over the last 100k miles: $5600 (Full list/receipts available)
o IMA Battery Replaced at 160k (New battery, NOT refurbished, warranty until 3/24/19)
Hybrid Revolt 6.5 AmpH New Battery ($1300)
o Transmission Rebuild (All Wear parts and bearings were replaced.)
o Yearly Clay bar/Polish/Wax and Interior detail
- Recent:
o 12v Battery
o (3) Engine/Trans Mounts
o EGR Valve
- Every Oil Change I complete the following: Oil/filter swap, Tire Rotation, Brake Fluid reservoir exchange, Clutch Fluid reservoir exchange, Coolant Reservoir Exchange. Basically all of the fluids are constantly being replaced with new fluids every oil change.

Spare Parts: (See Photos):
(4) Synthetic Oil Filters
(6) Quarts of Honda Manual Trans. Fluid (Enough for 2-3 more changes)
(2) Extra Floor Mats
