2 off the wall questions

#1 Does anyone one know if a '55, or '56 grille would fit right into a '57 Chevy truck w/o mods?

#2 Regarding the '69 Daytona, and '70 Superbird: are the STOCK nose pieces steel? I know that the headlight pieces are fiberglass.

A follow up question: Superbird factory colors were of white, red, kind of a hugger orange, bright loud mopar green, lemon yellow, kind of a dark medium blue. A maybe non stock one is Petty blue.

What color would you prefer, and what color would YOU pick for easy resale desireability?

Thanks for your input! PS: for resale; should it be an auto, or the 4 speed?

1. Look the same on google image search. but may need some mods to work.

2. Pretty sure stock was NOT steel

Resale is tough but Autos can usually be driven by more people; Petty blue.

1. I don't think any will fit, the 55 is close but I don't think it has the lower-wider taper of the truck.

2. I'm pretty sure the original superbird nose was steel, the one I replaced was bent, not shattered. They may have changed that later, not sure, ancient memories.

3. I'd prefer a stick, in plum crazy purple if it was available in the year the car was made. If not then the bright green or orange.

Most Superbirds sat on dealers lots unsold when they came out, kind of like the ZL1 Camaros now. I would think the best colour for resale would be the original colour of the car, anyone buying one of those cars now would be looking for that more than anything else. And always a 4 speed! It's not a real car if it doesn't have a third pedal haha

From the looks of this, the nose is steel?

Apparently, the nose cone was steel on the Daytons, and the wing was aluminum.
I thought the cones were aluminum.

Isn't the orange color called HEMI-Orange

No idea about the grilles.

Petty blue is attractive, I'd also have to throw my hat in the ring for plum crazy though - my favourite muscle car colour hands down.

And it SO has to be a 4-speed. But then, I am fed up with automatics in general anymore...

As for the color if your going to sell it if its mostly OE paint it to match what the vin# indicates.
