I missed your question.

Quote:
So here is my question, The company sent these on a sheet of clear plastic and spaced as you see on the side rear of the van. Should these actually be touching towards the back? (wider towards the front, narrower towards the rear with this raised area)
While I'm not sure about the whys and wherefores, but the spacing reminds me of this NACA duct:

The air is flowing in the other direction and there is no scoop, but note how the ramp starts similarly with a small width.

freebeard kind of a moot point, I've removed the wing worms and added some comments that aren't even necessary or even related to the front air dam. Just trying to get back on track..

But as mentioned.. I've order some slender fender edge guards and 1.5 rubberized plastic landscaping edging. Later on, my side skirts will arrive.. these will take 20 weeks to complete. Both the front air dam and side skits are not solid as I once though so that have about a 1'' edge that I can mount the landscape edging onto. this will drop the front air dam down about 1'' and the side skirts the same distance. I'm hoping the fender edging will tie the products together. I did however try to mount a set of fender edgings from a 2019 escape on the van, though these might work but didn't. all because no one actually has a dedicated ground effect set of our van so I have to piece one together myself.

Got that 1.50 inch garden edging which I'll use and attach to the front air dam as well as the side skirts. I was thinking I should have gotten the 2'' strips, but this should be enough. Now to get a heat gun cause i'll have to bend this stuff fo that it will snuggly into some of the 90° bends of the air dam. but will 1.50 inches more to a short air dam actually be enough.. we'll have to find out. But I didn't want to make this too low.

Welp just my luck.. I miscalculated the width of the air dam edge.. turns out that if I attached the landscape edging onto the air dam edge.. it would only extend the edge by 1/4 of an inches.. this means the two rolls of edging I'll have to send back and I'll have to find either 2'' or 2.5'' edging.. I'm leaning towards the 2.5inch

Just ordered a 2.5inch 80' edging from amazon.. should arrive next week so while I wait I'll need to goto lowes and get a heat gun so I can heat up the plastic to bend into some of the tight corners of the air dam.

How do you plan to attach the edging to the air dam/splitter thing? Glue? Rivets? Both?

welp got hre 2.5 edging yesterday. I would have uploaded the images sooner but we had a bad storm which took out the power.. one thing that helps is having an oversized UPS which alerts me when such a thing happens and allows me to shut everything down. I man need one for the gateway..

NEway.. got those edgings and it seems to larger than I expected.. while the 1.5 wasn't enough.. the 2.5 seems to be too much.. but wife said lets test fit this first.

Also.. is it me or is the forums real slow cause i keep getting error message saying bad gateway etc..

It's the forum. It runs hot and cold, sometimes it's right there -- other times it won't load at all. There's a whole thread on the subject. ecomodder.com/forum/showthread.php/forum-slow-lately-41968.html
