20,000 members!

Big round numbers are nice, and we just passed* a nice, big round number: 20,000 registered members in the forum! That's a nice milestone.

As has been said before, I think it's safe to say there may be some interest in this fuel economy stuff.

For fun, looking back...

* We actually passed the 20k mark a couple of times in December, but we actively purge spammer accounts on a regular basis. We turfed a couple hundred of those last month. I'm sure our membership ranks would appear to be a couple thousand higher than they actually are by now if we didn't do that.

Congrats on another milestone:thumbup:

I'd like to see the gallons saved figure for all of ecomodder.

ShadeTreeMech 01-04-2012 05:39 PM

Woot! 20k people are hopefully trying to adjust their right foot toward better fuel economy! How many gallons has ecomodder saved, I wonder :D

Congrats to all EcoModders members, and thank you for creating this great hypermiler forum. 20 000 is a fat number, now aiming for 50 000!

Excellent!!!

Darin,
Would it be possible to make one of those "EM members vs fuel prices" graphs? I remember there being a correlation...

NachtRitter 01-05-2012 10:39 PM

Awesome! Great job Darin (and the rest of the team that keeps this site going)!

Here's a picture of "active members" (people who logged in at least once in the previous 30 days, including brand new members) vs. US gas prices over the past year....

Think they're related? :)

EDIT: that's our all time high, by the way, low 1800's. For the past 3 years, we seemed to have bounced around between the 1000 and 1500 mark. Let's call it a 1250 average.

Silly rabbit - the members keep the site going!

(But we get your drift - thanks.)

JethroBodine 01-06-2012 06:22 PM

There seems to be something similar between those two lines, but I can't quite put my finger on it:rolleyes::D.
