2000 Ford Focus Conversion

I've started my conversion. The 2000 Ford Focus SE has had all of the ICE components removed, vehicle has been degreased, IB5 transmission has been cleaned and painted. The donor car is in excellent shape...no rust...underbody looks almost new.

Motor and Controller have arrived.
Here's a listing of some of my parts (most are ordered and on the way)
....any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm planning using the IB5 manual transmission and clutch
AC-50 Motor
1238-7601 Curtis Controller
40 Bestgo 200ah batteries
Ligoo FT-12 BMS
TCCH PFC battery charger
and a whole bunch of other smaller parts, etc.

Here's my question: I would like to use the Throttle Position Sensor portion of the throttle body. Will that work? Any suggestions on how to do the hook up will be appreciated.
By the way, I live in Arizona and am currently doing the work outside...it's 110degrees F....this shade tree mechanic could use a few more trees.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a fun project you have there. I look forward to updates and pics! :)

Chances are you can probably use the throttle body's TPS. What you should do is look at what kind of potentiometer is supposed to be used with your controller, and then see how your TPS sensor matches up to it. If the resistance of your TPS is higher you're probably fine. If its lower you could run into problems with it pulling too much current and ruining the controller.

What made you choose the bestgo batteries and ligoo FT-12 if I might ask? I am unfamiliar with them myself.

They are products offered by the Electric Car Company of Midville, Utah. I'm getting most of my parts from them.
