I always like how the reason for bigger wheels is to put bigger brakes on the car/truck. So when people put these outrageous looking things on their vehicles and then don't upgrade the brakes, it looks just plain stupid. It's like a donut sitting in a hula hoop.

I like the idea/craftwork, but not the application...
Would like to see it parked in the middle of a muddy field with 3 dogs in the back...

They should have gone all the way and made the chrome center section look like a square. With the wheels and rims painted black, the thing would appear to be driving on blocks instead of wheels.

I have actually seen a lot worse. This is a mild version of the ones I have seen that actually protrude out a good 10 " from the wheel itself.
Not only is the guy creating a mess with all of the vortexes, but he would also be adding frontal area ( and virtual frontal area ) to the car.

If you jack the driven wheel up off the ground you've got the makings of a nice chipper/shredder for those wind-fallen branches!
