mission accomplished

when you drive a 17 epa vehicle like me...and exclusively city driving...you get mpg envy on the ecomodder site. im getting 33 percent above epa on my 4runner but when you see guys getting 40 plus mpgs you cant help but be jealous. if you cant beat em at least outlast em...

fuel conservation is my only salvation. for the past 5 months ive been trying to stretch a tank of gas through 30 days...failed since june...eight times. today i filled my tank exactly one month to the day i last filled it on oct 10. yeah...i got 19+ mpg...but i paid $40 for energy in my car this month. walked in the cold when i could have driven...coasted with headlights on my bumper...even pushed my car out of the driveway every morning for the past week...it was worth it.

before i found ecomodder i filled my tank about three times a month...$200 and 80 gallons a month. thanks to svo...mpg metro...and especially trikkoncept i hit my goal

Cool It's nice to see someone else using the self rationing technique To quote someone much wiser than me... "Always be content, but never satisfied." You should try for 35 days now

The best goals are reachable, but just barely

Nice! 3 fills a month down to one. Congrats! What are you going to do with all that extra money?

Some of the extra money went into buying a scanguageII and magnetic signs to start my Super Commuter Driving School to teach regular everyday drivers how to get better mpg's. Had 6 lessons with clients so far at $20 a pop so I've almost recouped my start up costs.

Hopefully with the scanguage I can pull a little bit better mpgs. All city driving is tough to do it though as I only have a four mile commute to work every day with no highway or hills to coast on.
