Hi.

Looks nice and the history seems complete.

One niggle for me would be trans fluid maybe needs doing. VW charge tons for the fluid they use but cheaper compatible alternatives are available. Plus here (UK) a timing belt would be expected to last maybe 50k.

Do you have an engine code ?

There are a few TDIs on here, search is your friend. There is also an ongoing debate on VW reliability.

Good luck.

Hey thanks, it's BEW with the 09a and just did a drain and fill with Valvoline Maxlife ATF for $19/gallon :) and here in the US VW doesn't recommend changing the fluid lol, they tell you (europe) every 40k miles right? Also not using the spec oil cam grinder and using Mobil Delvac 1 ESP every 5k miles instead of 10. That should solve the 2 main reliabilty issues.

I think the 40k change is for the gearbox Audi called multitronic.

The tip is a conventional auto and yes Vag had them as sealed for life, which is obviously bollocks.

You have a good handle on it though ;)
