2012 Elantra w/ Pickup bed and boat tail?

I recently have been given the opportunity to buy a wrecked 2012 Hyundai Elantra. Although I have not yet purchased it I would love to here (and see) some ideas.

The car was hit in the rear passenger side. So nearly all the bodywork from the b pillar back would need to be reworked. As far as I can tell the wheels were not put out of alignment so the wheelbase would stay as is. My current idea is install a pickup bed similar to the smyth performance truck and put a removable aero top on it.

Currently everything is up in the air so if you come up with an idea that does not include a pickup bed I would be interested in hearing it.

Here is a stock photofor a reference.http://facecarsx.com/wp-content/uplo...Right-Side.jpg

Sounds like it'll be fun.

bed/tail

To do it would give you a chance to work on the most important real estate on the car, allowing some more aggressive roof contour as well as plan-taper.
You'd also have a multi-purpose vehicle,as has been attempted by a few automakers, but never made it past the concept stage.:)

It will require some massively serious skills to accomplish this while maintaining the integrity of the unibody structure.

X2 I'd run away and never look back. Structural integrity would have to be maintained if you don't want to die if you are ever in a crash with it. Depending on the damage, the wheels might be straight but the whole car may not be square anymore. Not yo mention possible pinched brake/fuel lines and other unseen damage that can really add up.
