2013 VW Jetta hybrid land speed record

MOTOR TREND has an article you can see online about VW's 186 mph 2013 Jetta hybrid land speed record at Bonneville.
What is interesting to me,is that with mirror deletes, narrower tires,MOONs, and lowering, all this did not reduce counts enough to get the Cd below 0.28,starting with Cd 0.28.It reduced the frontal area about 5.8%,which is a rulebook maximum reduction for the class they ran in.
With 300 horsepower,she's 3-mph faster than the 1993 Impact/EV-1.

They improved the Cd by less than 0.005?

I guess it depends on how much they want to fudge their original published Cd.
Technically,VW could call Cd 0.289 Cd 0.28.
If they got down to Cd 0.28,from Cd 0.289 then it's a little bigger spread.
Perhaps someone in the know will report on it.
Looking at other 186-mph cars and their brake horsepower is instructive also.;)

Here's a Linky Dinky Doo, for you, to the subject article. :p

FWIW, creating a link is a "Simple" 3 step process.

1st You copy the http:// address of your target web page by right clicking the web address in the navigation bar (It automatically selects the whole address when you do that) and selecting Copy from the drop down menu that pops up.

2nd Write whatever words you want to be the title of your link (i.e. Linky Dinky Doo) here in the reply area and then Highlight those words by left click hold mousing over them.

3rd Click the globe icon above with the chain link under it just below the smilie face there, now Right Click on the highlighted http:// that appears and select paste from the drop down menu, then click OK. OK.

This is for a windows computer....God help you if you have a mac...I understand those don't have a right click.

Yesterday I learned the World's Fastest Motorhome is a Westphalia pop-top camper.

OK, it's on a Mercedes-Benz base vehicle. Speaking of Bonneville:

Lie from the lying liars that lie them. :) I have trouble holding my middle finger up so it doesn't twitch and invoke Opera's *beep*ing Mouse Gestures.
