2016 Prius spotted yesterday

Also saw my first billboard declaring it on sale in local dealerships. This white one seems to have dealer plates. Driver was speeding. Way over 80mph. I caught these randomly as we returned to speed after jams.

You know, so-called eco cars are popular in California mostly due to politics than to "environmental awareness".

When I got passed by flying Prii in the past I used to think 'My Nissan uses less fuel than your Prius'.
Now that I know them better, I'm not sure that was true. You get decent economy in a Prius even at speed. Not great, but probably better than my struggling old Nissan driving slow.
No doubt the 4th gen does even better.

Nowadays as I drive my Insight it is no contest - if you speed you lose :)

It looks like a speeding Prius gets about the same mileage as my Civic at 55 MPH, but I bought my HX for $2,700, and I would rather replace the $400 O2 sensor (for $175) than the $3,000 battery.

Someone tell me this would be a bad idea! 2007 Toyota Prius Hybrid Only $2995!! Toyota Prius Hybrid!!

Only one picture, unknown mileage (probably more than my Civic!), and a salvage title.

I guess after 9 years a Prius in reasonably good condition should have lost at least 80% of its original value. So this would be about right, but it is a salvage title, so the price should be lower, IMO.
