Cool beans.
FYI, I added the PHEV info to the thread title. Apparently even Chrysler will only be calling it a "hybrid" van, despite the PHEV design, saying they feel the plug causes too much confusion in the market. They're probably right. I know several smart (but otherwise non-car-interested) people who thought the Volt was a pure EV so dismissed it as an option. |
Ups the game for Toyota as well. I wanted to buy one of the hybrid Aspens because they seemed to have a lot in them and a better deal then the Tahoes used. Then I couldn't find one close and ended paying 1/2 as much for the non-hybrid version. If this thing gets a 3500 pound tow rating or higher I want to replace my current Van and Aspen with one.
Oops, I found some specs, no towing with the hybrid. It also gets much heavier. Maybe the normal vanbwith the start-stop at least will be a good fit. 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivans: Specifications, rumors, models, and safety |
