I tried to see if any manufacturers still made any 14" rims and found this: Will the Hyundai Accent Be the Last New Car to Offer 14-Inch Wheels? From what I can tell, from 2012 to 2016 they had the same wheels, in 2017 they had different 14" ones, and now the 2,100-pound car has at least 15" wheels. I have seen many LXes and EXes for sale with HX wheels. They are a great choice at just 11.75 pounds each. This list only shows six lighter OEM wheels, with Mazda wheels as low as 9 pounds, but Porsche wheels are just 7 pounds! Wheel weight chart most listed MUST SEE!! Then there is a list of aftermarket wheels and just the As were at least as long as the OEM wheels. I think that eight were lighter than the HX rims, which weigh 11.75 pounds, but wheels keep getting bigger and bigger. That list has 20" rims and one set just from the As weigh 38 pounds each, more than triple the weight of my rims! What are your favorite stock rims and why? |
The Mitsubishi Mirage--which wasn't around when that article was written--still has 14" wheels standard.
ETA: The 2019 Accent weighs 2502 lbs in its lightest trim. |
