31 MPG on a minivan!

I got 31MPG out of my mom's 2005 Nissan quest sl,i took it for a test drive right after i have changed all 6 spark plugs to NGK platinum(they are rated for 100k) i also changed it's transmission oil+ installed K&N Air Filter and i did ecu relearn+idle,i always use 91 octane free gasoiline on it.Before i was only getting around 25-27 avg on the freeway and 20mpg in the city.I find with this van that if i use the 10% ethanol gasoline on it,the city mpg would drop down to 12-15! with no ethanol i'm able to get the epa city rated mpg which is 18mpg and i can sometimes get up to 21 with some hyper milling.

Thanks, It's inspirational and has given me a few ideas for my Dad's van. It was filled up today with 87, Perhaps in the future we'll switch to another grade.

This site Ethanol-free gas stations in the U.S. and Canada shows you all the non-ethanol stations close to your area,What type of van your dad owns?; i find the Nissan's 3.5L v6 engine to be very efficient at highway speeds especially around 65-70mph,that's when it gets it's highest mpg.

Unfortunately i don't keep track of it that much, for this car,i used it for couple months to commute back and forth from school and it was getting 23MPG combined, computer was off by 1MPG(confirmed by dividing mileage driven by gallons pumped).i was getting 380 miles out of the tank. This was before when it had the worn out 130K spark plugs,After tuneup mileage went up little bit around 19 in city driving and 28-30 on the freeway doing 65.

I've always liked these, and their Ford siblings. A dear friend had a similar model, and I am not sure if he ever broke out of the teens.
