Toyota 2.0L M20A-KFS dynamic force engine

This engine seems pretty packed with new technology. Pretty interesting stuff IMO.

Piston with Laser Pit SkirtWorld's first
By subjecting the skirt sliding surface to mirror finishing, reduced friction is realized. On the skirt surface, narrow crosshatch grooves created by lasers improve scuff resistance.

It's not mentioned, but I'm assuming this engine also uses an offset crank? I'd be pretty interested in a comprehensive list.

That peak BSFC RPM is pretty high, maybe attributable to friction reduction?

I could be wrong, but I would assume most new engines are using an offset crankshaft these days.

If I'm not mistaken, the K20C in the new Accord and Civic Type R do not have an offset, since none of the other engines in the K family have an offset. I can't find any explicit information on it.

It would not surprise me if Subaru's boxer engines did not have an offset, for balance reasons.
