84 mpg! ninja 300

Hello everyone thanks for the add. Have a 2014 ninja 300 abs.

the mods:
+1 15 tooth front sporcket.
note due to speedo sprocket change it made a 6.7% lower reading than actual gps odometer. and was factored in and corected during calculations

Riding style: Stayed at or a little above speed limit on mixed 60%country road/30% city and %10 hwy. I full tucked when going over 40 mph and on hills to help miantian speed. Used kill switch at long lights. and costed on a couple big hills and into parking lots. Took advantage of the efi engine braking when slowing down as it cuts fuel off. kept rpm at 4k to 5.5 k rpms. also note im about 5ft9 140lbs

so i filled up reset and went 263 miles still had a quarter tank. went to the same pump and it took 3.12 gallons came out to 84.29 mpg! I feel i would have been better as the tires were under inflated 6psi the first half of the tank!

so heres the mpg i get for different rinding styles

hypermiling 80 to 90+ mpg

effcient riding 70 to 73 mpg

some spirited riding i was geting around 66 to 68 mpg

and harder rides an fooling around i was still getting 62 mpg!

In conclusion i thing the sprocket mod helps alot!

Gotta love fuel injection. :) I still haven't broken 60 MPG in either of my bikes, but that will likely change as I just synchronized the carbs on both of them, and put leaner jets in the VFR 400. That fuel injection must help a lot, carbed ninja 250s seem to struggle to break 60 mpg on fuelly.

Feel like you can go taller on those sprockets? The JT sprockets catalog lists your stock gearing as 14/42, with down to a 38T rear sprocket available. I believe there are speed correction devices for bikes, have you looked into one?

Those are some impressive numbers BlueB, nice job! Welcome to the Ride, and a hearty welcome from north Idaho! :{)
