Lefty loosey didn't work?

Lefty loosey should definitely do the trick.

thanks gents. it did. when i first tried it wouldn't budge so i was nervous to continue without some confirmation that it was as simple as that. back at it with a little more brute force and it broke loose. looks like it had some sort of quasi thread-lock kind of putty or something on it that might have been preventing it from breaking free easily.

anyway... all fixed up now. thanks!

So what's the new shift knob?

MetroMPG 08-17-2009 12:04 PM

I'm guessing he took it off to incorporate an engine kill switch into the knob.

At least that's what I'd do if I ever decided to improve the hose clamp situation that's been holding my kill switch to the side of my shifter since I first set it up as a "test" location more than a couple of years ago. :)
