92-95 civic passenger mirror delete

I made a delete plate from an old broken mirror I picked up for free at a junkyard. It consists of fiberglass resin and bondo. it took less than a day to construct. if you have a few hours on your hands, definitely a must try.

How do the viewing angles of the new mirror compare to the old one?

even though the interior mirror is just as big as the oem one, it only really serves as a blindspot mirror(better than no mirror). you can't really see in the same way. the view is more to the side of your car than behind. it's just such an awkward angle. i rarely( if ever) looked in the oem mirror when it was still there anyways. the rear-view mirror in the middle seems more than enough for me

for those who have done the interior mirror as a replacement.... what methods have you used and what works best for you?

Beautiful work on the delete plate. I should go to Pick-A-Part and find a broken mirror mount for conversion on my driver's side. Here is my mirror (d)evolution :

Basically, all my mirrors are convex. That is especially true of the interior side mirrors, because it helps to make up for the location and (smaller) size. This is my current setup :

I have let people borrow my convex mirrors and gotten similar feedback. From my POV, every mirror change for me has required an "acclimatization period". I like the convex shape because I now have more information than I could have had otherwise. But, the smaller and/or convex mirrors require a "distance adjustment" for me. Also, depending on the context, I still turn my head to verify my lane changes.

The part I don't like is not being able to see the curb when I parallel park. I used to have that when I had a fish-eye mirror on my old side views.

Here's my current Configuration. This is my driver's side mirror mounted on a motorcycle stock (outside mirror for legal purposes) :

Here is my complete mirror configuration :

The 17" convex rear-view mirror is my rear-view HQ, and the interior side-view mirrors are my "just before lane change" confirmation mirrors.
