I no longer have a DF series carb in front of me but I do know you could adjust it with different holes in the linkage on my Edelbrock which was really a Weber.

Amazon link to webber carb manuals...
Amazon.com: Webber Carburator: Books

Tune a Weber 32/36, Weber 34, Weber 38 or Holley Carburetor looks like a good option for the specific stuff on the small progressive two barrels.

Webber brand carbs do not adjust like a holley, rochester or any American unit, I fix race cars all the time with carburation issues, its almost always because folks don't understand some of the twists which are non intuitive in the webber. The Holley Webbers come in about 3 or 4 families depending on age, and each of them has its own devious little tricks.

There is a lot about these under the Jeep forums here and there because a lot of jeeps got them to replace the POS stepper motor variable venturi rochester/ford abomination that came on them.

Good luck,,,!

Dave
