Aero legend and few more of its siblings for sale

In great condition, a slightly used inaugural car from one on the storied auto brands, the Saab 92001 or UrSaab. A front-wheel drive with a tranverse two-stroker. Monocoque design and an aerodynamic form, developed in conjunction with the company's airplane division engineers.

The dissolution of Saab has put up their 120 car museum properties for sale. Turbos, quirkiness and inventiveness were its hallmark.

Sad. I spent some time at a Sabb museum in Finland, run by a really nice, gung-ho fanatic. Perhaps he will buy some of the cars, and give them a very good home. Had the ride of my life with this guy on gravel roads in a Sabb rally car.

My family owned a 1966 Saab 96 (2-stroke 3 cylinder) and that engine was terrible. The engine overheated twice (seizing it, requiring a rebuild and a replacement respectively) -- and then the transmission went -- and that was about 40K miles... We had friends who had a slightly later 96 with a 4-stroke V4 that lasted over 300K miles.

The uRSaab is very pretty, and someone should make a modern version (with a longer rear slope for much better aero).

Stay of dissolution!!
The city of Trollhattan had saved their local & national landmark and collection. But there is still some activity to buy up the auto division.
Saab Museum Saved! Will stay in Trollhättan

Has anyone knowledge of ecomodded Sonnet's 1st, or 2nd generation?

At near only 1,500# w no body rust to worry with, looks like fun, but my 6,4" bod.
might not fit w/o custom work.

I survived long freeway commutes in a '72 AZ 600 Honda coupe by using my left foot on the gas pedal, while my right sprawled halfway across the passenger floor! LOL!
