Aero mods with style? grill block?

I have a 2008 Toyota Corolla S that I've had for a few months now..
I bought it based on it's fuel economy and interior room.. 37mpg hwy rated 5 speed manual
Now I'm getting greedy and want more out of it..
I've gotten a best of 42.8mpg out of it..

For winter out here in the North, the norm is to block the grill off to retain underhood heat..
I'd like to do this by wrapping the grill in a body matched vinyl (or as close as possible)

Where can I get something that can hold up decent in a variety of colors on the cheap?

Any ideas?

Talk to people who have vinyl cutters and make stickers. If you need to I can hook you up with a guy in the Twin Cities (a member of the Eurowerks club).

That may be expensive, though, and could be punctured. Try coroplast. Find someone who has a giant campaign sign in their yard and after elections ask if you can have it. That's what pretty much all of us use for aero mods. You can even paint it black and secure it with black zip ties behind the grille. No one will ever know.

cheapest place to get auto vynil is over the internet. I'll dig up a link. I had a local shop quote me $250 for a piece to cover the roof.
found uot last week I can get 3m 5ft x 6ft for $100.
I think I started w/ ebay then cahsed some link.

I installed some clear polycarb (thin) behind my custom grill.

Were ya going to do a black roof mod?

I like plexiglass for that. You still see the stock grille so it looks "right".

I guess he's over in Oakdale/Maplewood. Try the internet first... if that doesn't work I can hook you two up.

I would just use heat shrink film that you apply with a dryer. It would seal the holes, but would be almost entirely invisible.
Also, you wouldn't have to worry about curves like you would with plexi - for example around the Toyota emblem.
