Aftermarket Active Aerodynamics

Here's an example of aftermarket aerodynamics at work. The dynamic rear wing was refined w/ CFD modelling and rigorous wind tunnel testing. The system consists of pitot tubes, unique split rear wing & proprietary controller modules. I realized that it was designed for top performance dynamics but its capabilities in data gathering & analysis could be used for active LOW drag configurations, cooling/venting (only when req'd), counteracting boat tail induced crosswinds, aero-braking & overall aero-safe road stability.

That is cool stuff.... I thought something like this was made illegal in F1 a few years ago.

Aftermarket

As Howard Hughes would say,"It's the way of the future."
There is so much good, robust, intelligent, interactive electro-mechanical technology that it would be lame to not think of it as commonplace in the future.
All the really low-drag,high-mpg concepts use it,it won't come soon enough!
Thanks for the 'glimpse.'

would probably be even beter (cooler) if the wing was flexible to that it would warp rather than be split.

bmw's and some other cars are slowly starting to use active grill blocks, so perhaps in the near future more moving bits will start to appear
