As for OP's question, I don't mind AI slop if it's just regurgitating common facts and then asking a question. That's better than bots mindlessly spamming hyperlinks.

For fuel-economy and vehicle-efficiency posts, should AI-detector flags be used only as a moderation clue, or are data, test method, and vehicle context enough to judge quality?

Disclosure: I work on a related text-review workflow, but I am not linking or naming it here. I am asking about EcoModder forum review practice, not recommending a tool.
This is an entity fine-tuning their AI detector, whether human or not. Don't they deserve an answer?

Well, there's one. Like that's going to happen. How about some form of disclosure? Lot's of em-dashes works for me. Can we have prompt-driven CFD pictures?

CFD pictures?
I won't tolerate it because they have no desires to appeal to, cannot be pursuaded to change their mind (despite programming that tends to agree with you as much as the algorithm permits), because the framework does not update in real time. Ask AI if you can inform it of something it didn't know directly, and it will tell you to make a viral Reddit post because it does not incorporate anything from interactions with it to its underlying mechanics.

A human can be persuaded by their desires, proclivities, instincts and reason. Their model can (still difficult) be updated in real time. They can regard others with fondness. They can feel annoyed. They feel.

As much as I'm robotic in my nature, I understand why emotion sits at a higher plane than reason, because reason serves the spirit, not the other way 'round. Though it's my constant source of frustration, it's meant to be that way, and my emotion about that is misaligned. Through reason I can identify a misaligned emotion and somewhat reconcile it.

All that to say, AI has not, and will never understand what I just said. It can only know things, and it can know many orders of magnitude more than me, but it will never understand a single thing. Knowing and understanding are a universe apart.

No opportunity for emotional manipulation? Okay....

You might appreciate the philosophy of R.B. Fuller:

Since the universe contains infinite complexity (you can always ask the question "yeah, but why"), creating abstractions from the infinite is necessary. We're so good at it that we overly simplify very complex things into binaries.

The whole "non-binary" transgender fad arises from an awakening to the fact that many things exist on a spectrum rather than a yes/no binary. It foolishly goes too far by dismissing the spectrum entirely, and one should not dismiss a spectrum where a spectrum exists (spectrums imply a sort of binary)... but these are topics for other discussions.

My only point is that maps exist because they distill the infinite complexity of landscape down to actionable and understandable terrain that we can contend with. After all, a map which contained 100% of the information of the geography it describes would contain an exact replica of said geography, and that is not useful, mostly because you can't fit it in your pocket.

Universe is finite but unbounded (according to Albert Einstein). "Unity is plural and, at minimum, is two."- Buckminster Fuller

Synergetics is not so much a map as a framework. Like the Cartesian coordinate system, but more foundational.

Quote:
Synergetics_(Fuller)
Synergetics is the empirical study of systems in transformation, with an emphasis on whole system behaviors unpredicted by the behavior of any components in isolation. R. Buckminster Fuller named and pioneered the field. His two-volume work Synergetics: Explorations in the Geometry of Thinking, in collaboration with E. J. Applewhite, distills a lifetime of research into book form Continued in Wikipedia
