Alfa Romeo 159 with Brera Side Mirrors

Hi,

I have an Alfa 159, which has a terrible aerodynamic, I want some mods on it. So I think I will start with brera side mirrors. Because they are on the door's sheet metal, not start of the door glass. Does it make a little bit good for the aero?

Some mirrors are good enough that they compensate for the frontal area they add.
The 1984 Ford Probe-IV and 1986 Subaru XT would be two examples.
If you removed them entirely it might not affect fuel economy in a measurable
way.

I do not think Brera mirrors would help. They don't look much different. You could try sculpting your own mirrors out of foam, as I have done on my Civic (see thread: "Ren: My '92 Civic" in our Ecomodding Central forum). That way you can make them much smaller and quite possibly much better Cd than the stock ones. I used the stock mounts, and you likely could as well.
