Almost 50 mpg

Well so oh so very close. 49.97. Not bad considering all I did was drive it 55-70 on freeway. New 02 and 40 psi. No coasting no aero mods no warm air intake. Quite pleased. Had I not run some errands in town would have been 50. Vx rocks. What would a warm air intake or belly pan net me?

uotstanding!!!!!

Warm air intake may not help as much, your vehicle should be keeping plenty warm- as compared to the belly pan. I would advise grille blocking first, it would easily get you to 50 mpg under like circumstance (they often net 5+%) and a lot of air in the engine bay will try to come out the bottom of the car, and may have a negative affect on the belly pan.

I should also mention I am missing the vx si front lip. Lower chin on bumper. Hmm. So front grill blocks here I come.

I've found keeping my freeway speeds under 60 really has a big effect on my mpgs. Just remember slow traffic stay right.

that's because of lean burn. instrumentation can tell exactly when this is taking place.

49.97? Should have pushed it around the parking lot a few times to hit 50! lol

Very nice work.

I am planning a belly pan as well within the next month or so. Currious on what effectit might have on my grill block though. If it is negative I might just do the rear belly pan. Either way I am going to tackle it in two sections as it seems much earier and has similar gains to the full version.

I found the belly pan helpful, along w/ the grill block.
look at the third link in my signature, I ended up having a front and rear pan and skipping the middle!

I have a volt meter hooked up so I can monitor lean burn. I am going from 55-70 depending I've got some rolling hills so gotta try to get speed to keep seep up long gradual grades. We sold our house so belly pan is on hold. I do have rolls of aluminum coil stock. 24in wide by 50foot it's what siders use to wrap window and door casings. So I thought possibly that with some stiffing ribs or even just that with a few aluminum angel run down the car. Hummm. Turbo If you want I got a front sway bar for a 96-00 civic. I only have the bar and brackets I think. Come and get it. Or I could ship if you want. Let me know. I was told it would fit a 92 but no. You need the back half of he front lower arms with a hole in them. They are from any 92-00 that has a bar. Well see about this tank it's been a little warmer and I've run less short trips so we will see. Right now it's getting hot and I'm turning into a baby I need a/c fixed.
