Aloha

I thought I would say hello to everyone.

Been around for a while and felt it was finally time to register.

Ive had a 1983 mercedes that got 20 mpg running on veggie oil and
Ive been able to squeeze 24 mpg out of my 4 door 2WD (Auto) Geo Tracker

Currently, Im mainly interested in small consumer cars (civic/corolla)

and also in vans

(particularly those I can use to take road trips and spend a night or two in)

Toyota Previa, Chevy Astro, etc.

If anyone know of a thread that points out which van models have the best cd please let me know.

Thanks!

Hi! I used to have toyota vans and went here:

Board Of Knowledge

They are quite British if you dont mind, but are a good bunch with many years of knowledge.

Do you get cheap used car imports from Japan? Maybe microcars and vans could be pre ordered from the importers there in Hawaii.

Hang loose from New Zealand

Welcome to the site. Are you looking for a vehicle to replace the Mercedes or Geo?

Thanks! The Geo replaced the Mercedes. But Ill be in the US soon and so Im looking for a van.

(I was thinking astro/previa because the research I've done turned out about 25mpg if done correctly)

See if a Hawaiian importer can land one from japan, could work out cheaper than mainland US....??

I plan to use it while in the mainland
