Another 999mpg SGll question

Ive found 97273879 difrent things on this and an equal amount about the DFCO thing. soo whats up?

Ive read that i should set my fuel cut off to the same amount as my tps reading at idle.

Ive read that theres no such thing its just another word for killing your engine wile coasting.

Ive read that damn near no cars shut off the injectors

Ive read that tons of them do for emissions sakes.

Prety much my MPG goes to 999 when i let off the gass in 5th(manual) and the o2 goes in open loop.

I havent set my cut off setting on the SG yet so i dunno whats going on.

Thank you guys.

...yep, you've described it pretty well.

xj bmx -

Here is my context :

- Scangauge I, so not exactly what you are using
- In gear
- Any gear where RPM is above 2500
- Downhill slope where engine braking can't bring RPM below 2500

Here is what I see when I let off the gas :

- Digital 02 sensor gauge shows "L" for lean, meaning little or no fuel being injected.
- Stays in closed loop for the duration I have seen this. Longest has been maybe 1 minute. No monster downhills where I commute, so I don't know if it ever reverts into open loop.
- I don't see 9999 MPG, but I do see very high MPG. For my car, I think the SG doesn't know it's in DFCO.

Hrmmmmmm, my Dad has a ZX2. I should see what it's doing.
