Another air filter hack

the logo wind dance is not just a funny pun, I needed a grate of any kind to pun in place, it is from a house fan you may put in a window. This hack stops physical debris, as well as water, and separates lower and upper atmosphere calmly

I had made a previous thread to this success story, and this one photo sums up everything. I am working with a carbed subaru. The full filter n the box was too much, this is the latest hack. Back to the classic sound like a bellowing old holley..

Alot of welding recently, and paint in july is still having a field day in the body channels this sube sucks on. The opening larger (filter1) has sped that process up realistically, and I did learn I had the carb constipated. better to work up from not enough for a fine tune anyway. This is my final hack for this.

Is the spare tire mounted in the engine compartment standard on that car? I can't say I've ever seen that before.

Flat engines leave a lot of room.

Yeah, that's a Subaru thing.

That makes for alot of storage space, when the rest of the car is designed around a human, eh?
