Another silly question...Rear wheel well vents

Can anyone give me some advice on rear wheel well venting? I know there must be some parachuting effect from the stepside wheel wells on my Ranger. What I was thinking was a piece of PVC (maybe 2" diameter and 2" long) from the inner wheel well at the red dot and shaped to match the outside of the wheel well.

Would it help any with the parachute effect or is it really not worth the time and effort?

I would love to just skirt the rears but even after skirting I wonder how much pressure builds up in there from air coming from the inboard side and from the rotating tire.

Any thoughts?

I think you would want to work on blocking air from coming into the wheel well. spats, belly pan, skirts.... Thinking in terms of an engine compartment, it's more effective to block the grill, than to add louvers to the hood

Spats. Eight of them. Made out of conveyor belt material and positioned close enough that they will rub on the tire if the vehicle is jacked up (or in the jumps :) )
