Does anyone know if the 99 civic has injector cutoff during deceleration?

I know 92-2000 Civics do, down to 1200 rpms under high manifold vacuum conditions. Automatics have an issue where the injectors don't cut out as much.

If you use a bouncing light show, aka air/fuel gauge, you can see when the injectors are not turned on.

With the ultragauge you can tell if your car has cutoff by observing one of the various O2 sensor gauges. Then you have to tell the ultragauge that your car has DFCO for your instant MPG to reflect zero fuel.

Hey, thanks! I have not read my UG manual in so long that I hadn't examined it since I learned about DFCO in these cars maybe two years ago. My UG never displayed it properly, which was disappointing. I just found how to turn on the DFCO calculation because of this note. Cool. Thanks!

Are those the Bank1 O2 1 (and 2) voltage sensors?
They are on 1.275 volts. What should they show with DFCO?

I have set the following:
menu > ultragauge setup > injector cutoff = 11 (1.6 liters x 7);
menu > vehicle setup > VE enable > on, and > VE rpm > 5500 > on.

I think the voltage goes low to around 0 ish when full lean. But I could have that backwards.

From the manual: 0 volts is equivalent of 100% lean fuel air mizture and 1.275 volts is 99.2% rich fuel air mixture. Bank1 is the cylinder bank with spark plug #1. Typically only two O2 sensors are present, one on each bank.

The instantaneous MPG goes to 999.9, and the O2 sensors go to 0.000 when decelerating to 1000 rpm. I like the instantaneous MPG. It's a very nice feature and more stable than expected.

Trip MPG disappeared when the key was turned off and to R, but showed up when I turned the key back on later.

ultragauge > injector cutoff

As the ultragauge goes off during engine off coasting, and doesn't show instant mpg when back on, how do I know the injectors are off?

Is it possible they stay on, and use the same amount of gas as using the throttle?
