I just talked to a source that confirmed Arcimoto is pursuing bankruptcy. So the clock is ticking on that.

I've been looking at a local lending agency, but they want my name, phone # and email to even make an appointment to (to ask about their privacy policy ), and their website went, in the last two weeks, from 'apply by email and get an answer in five days' to 'submit a PDF and $20'. Sounds sketchy.

3 year warranty to 90 day warranty to ???

I've never paid for a loan application but mine have been from banks / credit unions were I was doing business. I suspect the $20 is for a credit check - same as when applying to rent an apartment.


I'll repeat again - buying an orphan EV from a bankrupt company is a bad idea. You can buy a real EV with aftermarket and factory support for that. These are Bolts that GM bought back during the battery recall so they have a lemon law brand on the title. A clean title Bolt is a few grand more.

Oregon has a $5,000 tax rebate for used EVs so you would be less out of pocket than what you already put down on the FUV

There are approximately monthly rallies of FUV owners at Hendrick's park in Eugene, so I feel like I'm buying into a community like the Good Times VW club was in the 1990s before we all aged out. My first car was an orphan.

Looks like I wanted a reason to post the bullet-nose.

Along with another Ecomodderer I took a tour of the Arcimoto facility today. What we learned is that, along with a plethora of FUV for sale, they have an functioning assembly line and an inventory of pieces and parts; and they are producing custom orders for a food chain back East. They sold off the thermoplastic vacuum forming equipment (body panels, fenders, cargo box) but they sold to someone who will produce the parts for them when inventory is exhausted.

The lifted off road FUV was still there. New prices are still in the $18-19K range.

reality is somewhere between JSH & freebeard's point of view. I don't know exactly where.

Freebeard needs a legal activist, to be so annoying to the bankruptcy judge that he gets preferentially adjudicated to the promised vehicle ( and go away.)

Been through bankruptcy hearings, watched the big bucks lawyers always get paid from remaining funds while the smaller more righteous claims got totally ashed because they weren't there to argue in their defense. See above ^^^

As it turns out, I went back the next day and took delivery. QI-0 is parked in the carport right now. Today I will liquidate some Silver for title, insurance and loan payment.
