civic ex coupe 96 not good with SGII

Hi guys,

I asked SGII guy if it is compatible with my civic ex 96 coupe.
Their answer was no .

Can someone with the same civic confirm this?

So what is the alternative here?

I have a limited electrical engineering knowledge, in order to install MPGuino.

Maybe a good old vacuum gauge is for me.

Thanks,

It works fine on my 1996 civic. I think the problem is that you're in Australia - does your car have an OBD-II port?

Australia civic coupe was made in US. The engine is D16Y8 which should be an OBD2, but I still need to confirm it.
Which engine is your civic?

D16y7. It's the non-vtec version. I know of others with the y8 who use the SG successfully, too.
