Armored Aero?

FYI - driving in snow or through land-mines?:

Now that’s kinda cool... they did their mods from sheet metal, which is hard to work with from time to time... that Kamm-back looks sweet, but I think the wheel skirts need redone...

I love it.

Screams: "Don't Park Next To Me"............ in a very loud voice.

Oh, and it's pretty aero too.

You can get a better look at it here:

Click on the image and pan over to the front chin spoiler, looks to be some bracing back there.

EDIT-2:

I clicked on the user's name and found more posts by them.

All they said was check out the custom racing seat -haha.

I'm guessing that this is a running/rolling project and they will be getting to finishing the front as soon as they steal enough sheet metal (haha).

EDIT-3:

Similar car?

With all the other metal I was having trouble identifying the make and model but the headlights told me immediately it was an Escort... definitely the best mashup of “Mad Max” and EcoModder

For me it was the tail lights.

Didn't Ford and Mazda have some shared models at the time?

Vman455 10-19-2018 08:17 PM

I think the only models they actually shared were SUVs and light trucks--specifically, the Mazda B-series/Ford Ranger, and Mazda Navajo/Ford Explorer.

For anyone else navigating through the link, you'll have to replace the **** with the appropriate word.

Yea, to read all the comments you have to type in the missing word.

Which: New MAD MAX vehicle or new Tornado Chaser vehicle?

freebeard 10-20-2018 02:33 PM

GO&D put it up w/o provenance. [shrug]

It doesn't really show, but this model had a half-circular front bumper:

With the aerodynamic nose of the Type II, there is just enough room to slip a spare tire into the gap.

I notice the side metal keeps the back door closed, permanently.

I was curious about the curved row of carriage-bolt heads above the skirt. Something going on inside?

As the other user pointed out, they did share the SUVs/Trucks but there was also the Mazda 121 / Ford Festiva from 1988-1991.
