Art Masking Tape?
I ran across a product that I thought might work for front-end aero mods while at a Hobby Lobby yesterday. It's a product called "Stretch Mask" that is used by airbrush artists for masking off parts of a car body that they don't want to get painted.
Has anyone tried any of these products for a semi-permanent lower-grill block? There are bunch of different variants at this site. I wonder how long it would stay on, especially in colder weather? BTW - Hobby Lobby also had some decent plastic sheets that looked like they could be cut down to size and mounted, perhaps with velcro or double-sided tape. Eph |
don't do anything less permanent than coroplast for anything more than testing.

I used clear plastic that people use when they get their windows busted out (the clear stuff, not the frosted stuff).
Its tough. It lasted until I ripped it off cause I was gonna sell it and the engine was getting too hot in the summer. If I wouln't have thrown away, I could have used it again and it would have been the same condition as I first put it on. Easy to clean, and you will have a hard time poking through the stuff. Plus its clear. As for attatching it, Art masking tape would be good, cause its designed to not harm the paint. |
cephraim and DifferentPointofView -
I like both of your options. Both are reversible and both can be stealthy. CarloSW2 |
